D-Day! Remember it!

One of the purest moments of bravery our soldiers have faced in modern warfare times. Imagine the thoughts racing as the shore landing boats drew closer and closer. The first guys might have had themselves convinced the air support had been successful and it wasn't going to be bad.. but every wave after that.. my gosh. The hail of bullets. The screams. The red ocean.

i'm such a huge history buff and i'm right there with you jimmy. can't imagine what it would have been like going onshore, seeing your friends being killed right next to you. that opening scene of saving private ryan sticks out in mind... just utter chaos.

always remember

just had a good show about D-Day on Discovery over the weekend. I was only able to start it but haven't finished it yet. Tried to last night but after the 5th time the power went out due to storms I said screw it and went to bed.
