woohooo, college football begins one week from tonight

No good matchups but real football is real football.

I think my Penn State Nittany Lions will be decent but we have 3 killer games all on the road. @ alabama, @ Ohio State & @ Iowa. If we win one of those games it will be a good season (provided we win the rest of the games of which we should be a favorite in).

Early line has Penn State an 11 point dog to Alabama. If we only win one and I have to choose who it would be against, I am hoping its Ohio State. First of all, their fans are freaking jack-asses but 2nd of all, that would give us only 1 loss in conference so the Rose Bowl would become a possibility.

I'm just hoping Purdue reaches a bowl game!

Schedule breakdown:

@ Notre Dame - Gonna say W, just because i effing hate those bastards
vs. Western Illinois - Beatdown W
vs. Ball State - Beatdown W again
vs. Toledo - W
@ Northwestern - Eh, they beat us last year but that's only bc we had 5 turnovers in the second quarter... I'm gonna say W
vs. Minnesota - Gophers aren't supposed to be anything special this year, so I'll say W bc it's at home
@ Ohio State - L. Even though we were the only ones to beat them last year, I don't see us going into Columbus and coming out with a victory. Hopefully we at least keep it close
@ Illinois - This should be a W. Illinois has struggled the past couple of years and we should be the better team.
vs. Wisconsin - LLLLLLL. We haven't beaten Wisconsin since Drew Brees was wearing the gold and black. They are just too tough for us.
vs. Michigan - Should be a W. Went up to the big house last year and got a win, home crowd should push us through.
@ Michigan State - Loss. Can't seem to beat these guys, especially on the road.
vs. Indiana - Full of win. FUCK IU!!!

So, final record is 9-3. Wow... I would take that in a heartbeat. It does help that we don't face Iowa or Penn State, but we gotta play who the schedule dictates (at least the Big Ten portion of it). Bowl game here we come!

the ending to the Wisconsin/ASU first half just now.. WOW! Huge massive return with time running out.. literally all the way down to double zero's.. and the ASU returner gets tackled a half yard away from the endzone!!

Wisconsin had 2 players that just didnt give up and #24 had just barely enough angle!! Half yard line.. halftime! no points! lol! wow!

ohhhhhhhhhh my football team sucks this year....Penn State is just too young and our awesome NFL draft-ready RB has come into the season running slower than fat white guy. Defense can't tackle, doesn't look like they have the talent or desire to get better. Gonna be a long year.

I haven't had a home team too root for in a long time. Colorado Buffalos haven't been good since I went to Highschool. But this year they are 3 and 1 and just beat Georgia. Finally we got rid of that stupid head coaches son and brought in this kid that can really throw the ball. The offensive line is bigger and are making holes for the running backs. Its fun to finally have some home team to root for.

On a side note my adopted team that I have rooted for for the last 15 years. Alabama wins again...STOMPS the Gators! ROLL TIDE!

I've always respected bama and their fans (though not you Fire). They are the only SEC team I don't mind winning.

WOW the gamecocks beat bama!!! I didn't see that one coming. I really thought Alabama was by far the best team in the nation.

purdue beat northwestern AT northwestern. first time we have beaten a ranked team on the road in something like 4 years. we still suck though.

we suck more Res, I am seriously concerned that we will lose to Indiana. Penn State is having a year to forget and its not even looking promising that we are putting things together. Thats what happens when you have 80 out of 110 players in their first/second year.

kansas is really jekyll and hyde this year. at home they've played pretty well. they had an extra week to prepare. their head coach turner gil in his first year @ kansas better have them ready or the wheels might fall off this thing real quick

2 more wins to get a bowl game, and I don't like our chances in that. Also, those 2 more wins will put JoePa at 400 wins. It would be great if he can get to that mark this year just in case he retires or dies in the offseason.

And another thing, this is how fucked the BCS is....I'm rooting for god damn USC to knock off Oregon just so BSU or TCU can have a better shot at the championship. Anything that makes me cheer for USC (other than their cheerleaders...my lord have mercy)...is a shit system.

Ya seriously because Florida is so terrible this year my Saturdays come down to me rooting for the #1 and any unbeatens besides Boise and TCU to lose, lol.

Congrats Joe Pa for win #400!!!! Down 21-0 with about 1:00 to go in the first half and win 35-21. There had to be some ass chewing going on in the locker room at half time.
